If you’ve always wanted to learn how to create truly authentic Thai food, then attending a Thai cooking class in Phuket can help you do exactly that. A cookery class is also a good option when you get tired of lounging around on the beach (yes, it is possible) or for those occasions when you are looking for something to do on a rainy day.
Phuket now boasts the largest selection of cooking schools in Thailand, with different classes and courses to suit all levels of abilities, from complete beginner to the seasoned professional chef.
Of course, each cookery school will have its own way of doing things, but it’s normally the case that classes are either a half or full day, with students first being taken to a local market where they will be shown what kind of fresh ingredients need to be bought, whilst also being taught what flavors and spices are used in some of Thailand’s most famous culinary delights.
After the trip to the market, it’s back to the kitchen where you’ll be shown how to make your favorite Thai dish.
As well as learning a host of new skills, attending a cooking class in Phuket is also a great way to socialize, have fun, meet new people and sample some authentic Thai cuisine.
